Did you track how much money you spend on gas? From coast to coast? I'm thinking about doing a cross country trip a second time to Cali from Chicago. If I get a rental car the cheapest I can get is $750-900 for two weeks. I'm considering taking my XJ again.

Huh, my calculations came out to right around $650. now that is gonna be less than what it really was because I had to cancel my card while in middle california due to a withdraw i didnt know, so i used my dad's card for the last few fill ups. I would put it a little over $700. figured itd be more than that tbh, but the numbers are there. Take into account that i dont have cruise control either

The road trips continue. Took my heep down to Monterey for the weekend and then to Point Lobos State Reserve. Changed the oil today, will rotate the tires, change the tranny/tcase/diff fluid this weekend and need a new throttle valve cable since mine is fraying. Got my air filter in the sink right now after washing it out and will apply the new oil in the morning when its all dry.
