I did the seafoam, half a can in the throttle body the other half in a full tank of gas. It smoked a lot, and definately made it a lil more peppy. I have never had issue with speeding, it'll do 85 on the freeway no problem on my 31's, but my jeep is a fast starting jeep, one crank if that and it fires right up

Cool

Champions installed and she's a very happy girl. She didn't like the Japanese plugs very much. She's so patriotic!

Picked up a gallon of it today. This weekend is the smokeshow! The plugs helped my top end power pretty good so the seafoam should just sweeten the deal.

Yeah I've heard it can sometimes do a number on the plugs. Guess I'm hoping I'm one of the lucky ones haha. I'd drop another 12 bucks on plugs if it came down to it. I'd rather it drive right till I do it so I can put some of the seafoam in the tank and the oil. But you're definitely right.

Good thing about the Coppers is that they're so cheap! Just making sure you knew.

Haha I wish. My goal is to fix this one up and try to flip her and then buy a 4wd. Unless you' have an idea of how much that would cost, then I'm listening.

I'm hoping the way to sell a 2wd jeep is to make her run smooth and pretty her up. The rims will be black, the trim will be cleaned up, the tires will be bigger. I'm seeing a 600 dollar investment. So 3000 invested, asking five. What ya think?

Well, im pretty sure you can do it for under a grand, axels, tcase and ds's out of a 4wd and everything should mount right up

Well considering the engines at 85000 miles, doing that for a grand would be a dream. The only interesting part would be cutting a hole for the 4wd shifter. It has metal between the interior and the exterior where the shifter would go. Other than that, it should line right up, then that's the plan.

Thanks for making my day man! Definitely thought that'd blow the investment going into that.

The stuff I replaced in my jeep was bought off of a guy who was parting a jeep that he purchased thinking it was clean but the title said parts. I could get the whole thing for 600. Problem is labor. I'm fine with diving into normal fixes, but converting this to four wheel drive I'd like to have a little more experience behind the wheel.

It should just be a metal plate in the way. I have a 2wd ATM and I'm planning on doing a 4wd swap.

You're probably right, I'd still feel skeptical about doing it myself. I'll read some write ups and see if I can handle the job. But I don't have the space or equipment for this swap to take place.

I do think my swap plan is solid though. I'm willing to buy something with a little work needed so 5000 isn't a bad spot to be. And a jeep with under 100000 miles looking pretty probably could go for much more. The woman I bought it from paid 3690. I paid 100 bucks to improve some minor problems and it could probably sell on the lot for 4500. I'm surprised the dealer sold it as is.

IMO you might have trouble selling a stock 2wd XJ for 5k. Where are you from?
