HERE, HERE.....
I like you Ryan, LOL....Your first sentence is spot on. Bimmer's opinion is everyone else's truth in his fantasyland. Oh, and BJ, no need to send me pm's. I can read, even if you think I can't, and if you sent it to me in the event it got moderated, don't bother...scarcely anything you write is worth the time it takes to delete it.

Bimmer has me questioning reality, crap.

Yea, that's 4HD, however. In 2WD, I have been at a parked standstill and unable to gain traction with the slightest amount of snow on the ground. When it's going to snow, I park it in 4WD so I can get out of my spot the next day. That is why I do not believe anyone towing a car with a 2WD XJ.

This forum has hit a new low.
Congrats Ryan, you've been told that a 2WD XJ is the perfect car. People are not giving you any objective truth.
They are so filled with hate and rage they will disagree with even the most basic assumptions that are central to their own belief system regarding XJs.
People on this forum will argue the opposite of anything I say, even if it is totally irrational.
If I said "eating gasoline is dangerous", everyone here will tell you to go chug gasoline, and call me a "tard".
This is the type of person you're getting advice from.
Ryan, do yourself a favor. You want honest feedback on 2WD?
Research for yourself, without all these trolls bashing me. Search the archives.
This has been discussed plenty of times.
In ALL other threads on this forum, when someone asks about 2WD, they crap all over them.
They are hard to resell, and worth half of a 4WD XJ.
I am the only person here who gave you honest and objective feedback on your purchase.
Ryan, I want you to re-read what I said, and YOU be the judge of the quality of advice on this forum.
Read that list above again.
Now, I defy anyone here tell me exactly what points above are incorrect. (I can't wait for this...)
This forum claimed I have no idea what I am talking about?
Ok, so let's say I am totally incorrect.
That means this is what the other posters here are telling you:
Now, Ryan, you read those 2 lists. Case closed.
This forum is an now a total embarrassment and a detriment to new Jeepers.

- I said you overpaid by paying $2400 for a 2WD XJ. You could have paid a little more and gotten a 4WD XJ.
4WD XJ's sell for under $3000 all day long. You made the mistake of thinking it was a bargain b/c some other greater fool paid $4000 for it. - You have all the downsides of a 4WD car with none of the upsides.
- You have a 2WD gas guzzling 15MPG car that is bad for commuting.
- 2WD is not ideal for off-roading.
- 2WD is not ideal for driving in snow.
- Resale? You have a gas guzzling RWD car that is not good for commuting, not good for off-roading, and not good for snow driving. Who is the sucker you're going to sell your car to?
Read that list above again.

- 2WD is betting for snow driving than 4WD
- 2WD gets way better gas mileage and is a perfect commuter car.
Now, Ryan, you read those 2 lists. Case closed.
