I'm not sure how much this gets discussed on a specific basis but the Pick-n-Pull by my house is like being a kid in a candy store. I should have made a list of everything that I want to get but I guess I'll have to go back. All I needed was a transmission pan but I was there for almost 3 hours looking at everything. Even got some speakers to go in the dash by your knees. I saw my Jeep has the plugs, but no speaker. Now I'm cruising in style. Let's just hope they work. They were out of like an 86 Cherokee, looked in real good shape though. Didn't have a power tool with me so I couldn't test the speakers with my battery. If anything, I'm out $5. Worth a try. Oh and I found like 20 feet of 1 gauge copper cable. BOOM! So anyway, if you've not been to a junkyard in your life, do it. Just bring all the common size sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, the basics.

Since the dawn of time... vehicle parts and tools have been the male counterpart of women and their shoes... lol.

I visit these places all over wherever I go even with having no real need for picking up anything many or most of the times. It is something to do, and I enjoy checking out all of the older vehicles that are now just sitting around serving their next purpose.

When ever I go I call my brother who drops everything and joins me. I do the same when he calls. I have a check list that I keep in my "junk yard box". I don't always get everything of course but I at least check for it.

At least twice a year I do what I like to refer to as a "boneyard walk through".
At least at the ones close by that will let you. Not all are pick and pull around here.
Never know what you will find.
