Default laws on doorless xj

So ive read the laws and states that you need atleast driver side mirror to be able to go doorless ..but also heard ppl getting pulled over because there is no roll cage ..anyone know if this is true?

Having a driver side mirror is a law in almost every state.Some states make you run tube doors some don't care.Look up your state laws see what you can and can't do.As far as a roll cage some states they are illegal also.Some states have laws about welding or doing any mods to the frame which would cover a lot of things from a roll cage to adding air bags.Me honestly i wouldn't have a roll cage in a daily driver or drive it with out the doors on it.

I run no doors ive passed by many cops got pulled over for somthing else and never said anything it depends on the cop if they wanna be a dick

Thanks for the info always appreciated..going to make it where it's quick on/off just in case

In some states you need at least four inches from the floor to the top of the sill. That is why Wranglers can go doorless legally and most other vehicles can't.

look up local law, call the local po, or risk getting in trouble.

+1 Jurisdictional differences are huge. In some areas they count as "removing original safety equipment" and shouldn't be taken off period.
