Leatherique Time!!!
Got a nice set of agate leather seats out of a super low 40k mile '03 WJ and want to hydrate the leather a bit. I picked up leatherique up based on its proven results and would lime to hear some input from others who have tried it.

Leatherique is amazing stuff. Best time is a smok'in hot sunny day. I use it once a year in the summer on my old RWD Volvo 945 turbo wagon. Be generous and lay it on heavy, roll up the windows and leave her sitting in the sun for a day or or so if you can.
Makes a world of difference, softens and cleans the leather. If the leather has been really neglected do the treatment 2X but wait a few weeks between each time. This stuff is the best you will find.

Thanks man for the input... I'm hoping 88 degrees outside will be hot enough in the sun all day. But I I should put on a heavy coat correct? This way it can absorb it all in

Yeah, I always put it on heavy and spread it around with my hand. The stuff is great and it will all be absorbed into the leather.
I've done restorations before and when it comes to working with old leather this is the #1 stuff to use.
Don't be afraid to use it a couple of times if your leather is dried out and cracked. The hotter the day the better. Let the sun beat down on it with the windows closed.

If your seats have scuffs, then Gliptone do good colour restore kits - and they list Jeep Agate here:

I Put on the leatherique rejuvenator oil and massaged it well into the leather coating everything liberally. I then parked the car in the sun all day long with the windows up. It was 89 degrees outside and very sunny. 24 hours later I removed the oil with pristine Clean. The results.... not that impressed, but here is why. Now after some research I found out that most leather is coated by a clear coat, this is probably why it did not penetrate the leather. The seats are in excellent shape with low miles but on coated leather it seems useless. Now on high end cars like Ferrari and Roles Royce I'm sure it works amazing and have seen pics to prove it. But to prove leatherique works I have a leather jacked that is old and stiff. On the same day I applied the oil to the jacket and set it in the car to get nice and hot. And this morning the jacket was soft and supple. I can't be live what and amazing job this stuff does to non coated leather.

Excellent point you make about it restoring your leather jacket. My bad as I assumed you were using it on older leather seats. I've only used it on older vehicles with leather that was abused and neglected. It's great to RESTORE older leather but like you found out, not the best on just maintaining newer coated leather.
Glad you thought to give the jacket a quick treatment.
