Have found more than a few things the PO did that either were very short sighted or just cheaped out. I am as of today so sick of the spring loaded mirrors that I am going to bolt Wrangler mirrors to the doors and call it done.

Have 33" AT's on it now better for DD.

PO near Tulsa at Gruber, I'll do this soon enough.

I like those mirrors on my XJ. Saved them a few times. That a JCR bumper?

Yep, both front and rear bumpers. I like em but no winch or light mounts. There are 4" square holes with mount holes but I have bigger lights to mount.

So the bumpers come with those light pod holes even if you have no intention of using the light pods? I don't like that.

Half the reason I'll go elsewhere. There is no option for without those holes.

I am thinking of something to fill the holes, or make them useful for something else.

Have access to a welder? Easily remedied...Cut some patch pieces and burn 'em in...however, no winch mount? At that point, I would say more trouble than it's worth, no sense in re-engineering to that extent when you could either buy a different bumper, or fab your own....

Bringing back the thread.

2000, 74K when I bought 1.5 year ago (I'm the second owner), now about 80-something, d30lp/8.25, was bone stock when I bought it.

Where do I even begin. Bought this to transfer all parts over from a previous lifted xj I got ride of (the white one). When transfer was done the silver one sat at 6" front and rear: adj upper/lower ca (IRO), IRO double shear trackbar, JKS QD, RC 3" leaf pack, RC ext shackle, RC CA drop brackets, RC shackle relocators, AJ's PreRok winch bumper, AJ's regular square sliders, warn m8000 (15yo, bought for $50 and rebuilt).

Sits on new BFG A/T 33x10.5, will be 35" when they wear.

After a year of street driving I wanted a more capable rig, so I sold all those parts and bought 5.5" bds leafs, BDS shackle, BDS 4.5" ZJ coil, and B Lee long arms, HD Engineering No-Lift Shackle relocators. I'm aiming for 5-5.5" after settling if any. Also at the same time decided I wanted to swap in axles, d30hp, and an 8.8 for the rear, got AJ's rear cut and fold tanker tire carrier, and decided to take care of the small amount of rust it had and paint the frame as I work rear to front. I also have the 4:88 gears for the axles and just need to buy the air lockers (Yukon Zip for the 30 and an ARB for the 8.8) before I drop off to be regeared.

It's been sitting on jackstands for 2 months now and est time to completion is prob end of November, but it was, and will be, my dd.

I have literally dozens of little odds and ends I have done/added, I couldn't even try to remember them all, but I will:

-B&M tranny cooler
-Coolant bottle relocate
-Spectre Cowl intake
-Dodge neon injectors
-Bored (60mm) tb
-2 LED OEM engine lights
-2nd PDC(I rebuilt one and it's basically a fitchbox if you've ever heard/seen one, powers all accessories and sits next to stock one on custom bracket)
-Warn contactor pack under hood with upgraded cables
-Upgraded power/battery cables (KWIP)
-Mini skids
-Rock **** tcase shifter
-B&M tranny guage
-Full interior LED from Superbrightleds
-Wet Okole seat covers
-Blacked out headliner/visors, all light/mirror plastic was painted black to match
-Custom made overhead switch panel with 7 carling contura rockers
-Raingler cargo net
-River Raider Hi-Lift mount with Hi-Lift
-Rugged Ridge floor mats all around(same as Quadratec brand)
-Instant Air 10lb co2 tank with a fire ext mount, hard mounted on a custom hidden bracket where spare tire goes
-Ax mounted to rear hatch
-Misc towing stuff under bench seat, as well as a cheap HF 1/2" air impact and coil air hose for co2 tank to use for trail repairs
-Hooligan Offroad custom made light bar brackets
-Olympus Offroad 11" and 42" Pro Series Single row light bars
-2 Oympus Offroad Pro Series lights as rock lights underneath
-Cadillac horns
-Custom made quick disco chains
-TRED recovery ramps
-2 fire extinguishers
-There's more but I cant think of it atm

Parts I have that need to be added:
-AJ's rear tanker tire carrier
-Ford 8.8 with all new hardware incl black magic backing plates, calipers, everything
-hpd30, c gusset(IRO), mini skid
-Motive 4:88 gears front/rear

Just need to buy the lockers and I will be done with everything once and for all.

I love adding/modding s**t as you can see lol, if you have questions or want pictures please don't hesitate, a lot of stuff is custom that I made on the fly, I like stuff to be exactly where/how I want it, and create stuff to be solid.

I've said that so many times, lol, then I always find something new to add. I've only truly been "done" with a project a couple times, and immediately sold em.

1989
155,000 on the body
75,000 on the 4.0
In the middle of getting the body ready for some paint.
I drive it between 60 and 80 miles a day, every day!

Stock everything, except for mid-90's Mustang injectors.
About a week after I bought it 3 of the injectors began to leak, so instead of replacing them at over $100 each, just did the swap. It was a no-brainer.
I get an average of 19.5 mpg now.

With how low mileage it is and all the money/time I have into it, I'll be driving it until it rots from under me haha, even if I feel it's done. I have more projects planned like wanting to build a cafe racer. Killer looking rig man, really like that bumper, especially the guards at the ends, actually follows the body and looks finished out.
Thank you. I'm very picky about stuff I put on, and researched all bumper options (JCR, Nates, Ares, basically everyone), even had one reserved with Ridgco, but decided on AJ's. Awesome products, awesome service.

Here's my boo. 99 auto 242. 4.5" Rusty's on Rough Country LA. Rusty's front and rear bumper, Engo 9000s winch, 33" Duratracs. It's a gob on the highway, but ultimately tolerable.
