the CJ grill on an XJ just reminds me too much of a Toyota FJ.
as for the new libertys, they are trying to copy the XJ's looks but fail as far as im concerned. ya just dont make an XJ copycat that big, put an independent front end, and so many creature comforts (soccer mom options) and try to call it a Jeep.

I was thinking of modifying my Scout II grille for mine. The one with square lights. I'd just have to figure something out for marker/turn signals.

Four hole ev14 injectors from 3.7 Chyrsler. Pre 1998 4.0, swap out connectors or run injector adapters, post 1999 4.0, plug and play.
In case you lose yours in the woods, you can even use the schrader valve cap on the fuel rail. Both are 7/16-14 threads.
I am sure that you could pull the horn and find a way to mount and wire it to a Cherokee.
Wheels? Anyone know the bolt pattern and offset?
