Na just cut the pipe off in the wheel well. Then you don't have to worry about crushing it off road either. Just be sure to cut it aiming down so the fumes empty into the wheel well. Mine was rubbing the hanger as well so I decided it was sawzall time!! Sounds better too!
Sorry for the pic, I just took it with the cell phone.

Thank you! I definitely feel super acomplished with it! I have an Acura TL as a DD, but i find myself driving my Jeep most of the time, because I just love it!

I actually did find the clunk, thanks though! It was the long arms hitting the factory control arm mounts. Question though, freegdr mentioned something about possibly putting the springs in backwards. Is there a difference? Obviously the shackle goes in the rear mount with the spring, but aren't the springs themselves exactly the same?

Ok, i'll have to check that out. I guess it's a 50/50 chance they're on the wrong side, because i didn't realize there was a difference.
Yea, i'm still not quite sure what i'm going to do about it. Although I might just leave the exhaust alone since i don't notice it any more.
Thank you!

I wouldn't cut the tank guard because the whole purpose of it is to keep the heat from the tail pipe from reaching the plastic tank. I have had mine cut like that for a long time and have never had fumes come inside even when sitting still with windows open.
