Default Lift Kits through JC Whitney???

I've been in the market for a lift kit for a while now and today, I stumbled upon this site (http://www.mikestrawbridge.com/project_cheap_jeep.shtml) where the person claims they bought a lift kit for $110.

So I went on the JC Whitney website and found what they were talking about. (http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductBrowse?tf=Browse&Pr=p_Product.CATENTRY_ID%3 A2005817&catalogId=10108&productId=2005817&mediaCo de=ZX&N=111%2B200004010%2B1998%2B600007393&storeId =10101) It claims to be the Rough Country lift, but they are super cheap. Has anyone bought lift kits through them?

This just seems super sketchy for some reason.

If it comes with the leaf springs I will order it. What I don't get is that one of the reviews the guy that gives it a horrible review said it ripped his axle boots? WTF? Let me know if you decide to get it. I want to know what how it turns out

Look carefully at the reviews from page 2 on. Most are reviews for Trucks other than Cherokees.

I have ordered from JC whitney in the past and IMO most of what they sell is sub par garbage.

Ordering stuff from JCwhitney is fine but i wouldn't order their RC stuff. They never explain exactly what's included and if it's that cheap then it's not a good kit. Order directly from www.roughcountry.com. Their 3" kit is $255.

I had one on a 95 Cherokee years ago to get me started. It comes with front coil springs and two add-a-leaves. That's it, no shocks or anything else. For a very cheap 3" lift, that's what you get. Great for a mild look that's not functional other than for show.

Yeah I would call rough country and ask for a guy named Jason. He has helped many people out over at NAXJA.org and I know XJ stryker is a happy customer of theirs!

Thanks for the help guys. I'm looking to get a 3 inch lift.

From what I understand, they offer two different 3 inch lift kits from RC on the JC Whitney website:
-$120 kit = front coil springs, rear AAL
-$235 kit = front coil springs, rear AAL, shocks

The only benefit I see in choosing these kits over ordering them from RC themselves is that JCWhitney offers free shipping, and 10% off of orders over $99.

Is this enough of a benefit to outweigh the sketchyness (new word) of the kit?

Probably not. Some of the vendors on here also offer free shipping. Check around before the purchase.
