Lift + New Bumper?

Lift + New Bumper?
Looking to boosting my '95 a little bit. I want to get rid of the sag and make it look just a little more rugged. It's just a pavement pounder unless there's some mud or snow around, but even then I don't wheel with it.
Maybe a 1.5" lift? or should i just do a 3/4" shackle swap? (anyone have pictures?)
Maybe just a stock rear bumper (mines rusted to hell) or are there some cheap heavier duty bumpers that look nice?
Throw em' out there!

1.5 inch lift.
Before installation: Yay I'm getting a lift put in!
After installation: Is it in yet? – I can't even tell.
Get at least a 3-4.5 inch. You'll save money in the long run because if you ever wanted to go higher in the future, you wouldn't have wasted money on a lift you never needed. I know you said you won't wheel with it, but they look good lifted. Hell, I've got a 6.5 inch lift and 33" tires and I rarely wheel.
Any decent aftermarket bumpers are going to run you over $150. Might as well grab another stock one.

here is my jeep when i first got it 1st pic is with a 3" lift on 235/75/15's and the 2nd pic is 3" lift with 31/10.50/15 it was a perfect lift/tire combo for a dd jeep that never really goes offroading/wheelin

I think that 3.5" and 31-33" tires are great for a dual purpose. DD/ weekend wheeler. You still get decent milage and go many places. First pic is of my Xj in 31's and the 2nd is on 33's.

I wish my XJ had that nice of color.. My brother had a lifted Wagoneer a while back w/ Rubicons and the whole 9 yards. I liked it, but I like the idea of a small boost without too much extra $ and work. 1.5 will get rid of the sag, and just give it a LITTLE something for a small price.

3 inch lift. 31 inch All terrain tires. Take the end caps of the bumpers, get rid of the door trim. Repaint the bumper. BOOM. Rugged enough and still good for the road!

Eh, I'd keep the bumper end caps. Nothing looks cheesier than a piece of bent sheet metal with holes in it hanging off the front of your Jeep. Besides, they reduce wind drag by letting the air move around the edge of the bumper instead of the air getting lodged into the open bumper as you move forward.

I was actually thinking bout cutting the front bumper like that. I don't know if they really cause wind drag since you're already driving a box on wheels
Trimming the endcaps are also and options. Many threads on here bout that.
Also if you do decide to take the end caps off...take the little strip of metal on the rear panels off (they hold the rear endcaps). And paint over the obvious bare metal. And take the silly little plastic "tongue" hanging down in the front where the endcaps meet. See too many XJs leave those on...
But in the end. Make you're Jeep look the way you want. Just test things out before you take something off permanently. They're bad*** either way

My brother works for a professional fabricator, makes chassis and parts for racecars, amazing welder.. anyone have any sort of dimensions for a homebrew bumper? I'm sure if i just let him look at my Jeep he could do something, but i'd rather give him something to go off of.

Haha don't worry about it. I've found that typing using Google is alot easier. Type in whatever you want, then put cherokee at the end or cherokee forum. Not only do you get cherokeeforum results but also jeepforum and others. Very helpful.
