light bar wiring

Default light bar wiring

so i got a 50" for the roof but my question is where is everyone routing the power. thru the roof by drilling a hole? thru the doors? just looking to get some ideas. also how you guys mounted them. i dont have a roof rack or anything and want the light bar to sit right at the top of the windshield. thanks fellas

You can tuck it in the door, under the windshield trim, through the roof.. how ever you want.

I bought a package of rubber grommets from the parts store, drilled a small hole in the roof and sealed it up with silicon.

Default 50 in led bar

Amazon has a gutter mount light bar should work with the xjs haven't got around to buying so unsure if it will work also your roof has a couple of strips of rubber use those holes instead of drilling

How do you guys get the wire from roof around/through headliner and down the A pillar???

^ bought rubber grommets also, gonna just drill a hole, use grommet & silicone like scottmphoto said when my stuff shows up ( Thursday I hope).

I think you can remove the plastic so the A pillar & run it down there to under the dash (above pedals) and then to a switch... At least that's my plan

I guess if you can get that off then fishin the cord by dropping the front corner of the headliner down won't be too challenging?
