Locker paranoia!
#166
I am not spending hours catering to doubters for nothing. I shot a video the best i could with what i have. So I could to prove a point. If you want more than that then go ask someone who knows what they are talking about.
This thread started out as an encouragement to wheel and have fun even though you don't have lockers and that's all been about destroyed.
This whole locker argument is moronic. I said from the get go lockers are better than no lockers. But I Aldo stated if given the choice I would take suspension.
Anyways I will post the video when I get home from work. But I can tell from the attitudes here your minds are made up no matter what I post. No different than Obama voters as well as the liberal/conservative debates.

The more this thread drags on, the more you come off as a troll, trying to get a rise out of people. I'm giving you the chance to show us this video you speak of. The reason everyone is saying its not possible, is because we have all been there, we have all had open differentials, and we have all teetered on 2 tires, and had the other 2 spinning on low traction/no traction surfaces no longer propeling us forward.
If it truly did happen, and you were able to continue forward with open differentials and 2 tires in the air, there is an outside factor allowing it to happen, be it momentum, gravity, pixie dust, or perhaps a traction aiding device like I said earlier.

Hahahaha. Our minds about how open differentials work are made up. He wants us to ask somebody who knows if we dont beleive that they work differently!!!. Post whatever video you want, but it sure will not be a video of an opn diff XJ with two opposite tires hanging in the air moving forward (like you claim it does). Even if that Jeep moves it only shows that you have an LSD.

"Lockers break stuff, and rob a person of precious engine power. They are also hard on steering components. And they are not a cure all. If you can't make an obstacle in your street Cherokee then I promise you its something other than lockers. I saw two or three different locked trailered rigs struggle where my rig had no problems. And the lack of lockers on my part never once kept me from making an obstacle."
and
"Lockers are on my list, just way down, like right after the fuzzy dice"
On other pages you stated that you kept up with 150+ other rigs and yours was the smallest and the others with lockers had troubles where you didn't.
I don't really know what direction you were going when you made this thread, but it appears that you are saying that lockers are all hype, specifically with the thread title.
I'm sure this video you will post won't prove anything about what you are saying. If it's in 4wd you need two opposite tires of the ground to show you open diffs. If it's in 2wd you only need one rear one off the ground and it won't go anywhere.

I have a question (no real experience in lockers) I want to install lockers on my 01 but it's my everyday vehicle should I look into air lockers?
