The more this thread drags on, the more you come off as a troll, trying to get a rise out of people. I'm giving you the chance to show us this video you speak of. The reason everyone is saying its not possible, is because we have all been there, we have all had open differentials, and we have all teetered on 2 tires, and had the other 2 spinning on low traction/no traction surfaces no longer propeling us forward.

If it truly did happen, and you were able to continue forward with open differentials and 2 tires in the air, there is an outside factor allowing it to happen, be it momentum, gravity, pixie dust, or perhaps a traction aiding device like I said earlier.

Well sorry I seem like a troll. And sorry that I don't agree with you 100percent. I did not know that disagreeing with people got you banned? Damn that sucks. Now we all have to think alike?

lockers are harder on axles, and they will bog your motor down because no tire is able to break free from the traction. There is a constant pull on the axles and components. With an open diff the tire with less traction breaks free and makes it easier on components because there is no pressure. Its not rocket science and I can't believe anyone is arguing this! Fact is its easier to spin two tires with no traction than 4 tires. Just watch a mud bog for petes sake!

I would still opt for lockers given the money, no one is arguing this. I can't for the life of me figure out what the argument is?!~!!!!

So here is the video, and while its not much your going to have a tough time convincing me my awesome wheeling experience this weekend was a fluke, and the trucks I wheeled with really were not locked. They just said they were to make me feel good

I don't care if the front wheel was barely touching the ground, the jeep pulled me through an obstacle that was not a cake walk for a stock truck at the LEAST. And a stock fj would have rolled. I know this because we already tried it with an FJ. He had to lock it in just to get on the smaller rock. And it was off of the smaller rock that we had to hold him from rolling it.

So again the point of this thread originally was how well the cherokee does with a little tweaking of the suspension and some tires with out lockers. This video does show some potential. And my stock suspension is working thank you.

take 2 vehicles with equal suspensions....and lock one of them. The one with lockers will always go farther.

I personally have no issues keeping all 4 tires on the ground most of the time. But i still have times where a tire lifts, and if i wasnt locked that tire would just spin without me going anywhere

Of course two vehicles with equal suspension and the winner is the locked one. Absolutely 100percent.

Notice I did not spin a tire at all. That was the point. Thanks for posting.

Which is not the norm, most of us have been there. Over 99% of the time once you lift a tire on an open diff. ALL the power is transfered to that tire.

that turned out better than I expected to see. but I did see a little rear tire spin.
but you kept both the front tires planted the whole time. this will give the illusion of having power to both wheels
