lets hope its quarter lol.

im building them out of 3/16 2x4 now, the side plates or "ears" are 1/4 inch and the link tabs themselves are going to be 3/8 brackets that are cnc machined out and tig welded also and then gusseted

I think the square would look nice but architecturally the round would hold up better and can sustain much more pressure than square. I don't know, jmo

well i already got some square tubing and am planning on building square arms for the first kit, i do however have some round tubing and will build kits with round arms but for a little bit more to offset the extra cost in material so you guys can pick what you want.

the kits will come painted with regular paint because when you drag your arms over rocks how are you supposed to touch up the scraped off powder-coat?
with paint you can on your own.

just waiting on ruffstuff to mail me some joints now to finish up this kit

lca mounts will be done for the cross member next week, i also had a few extra sets made to build 2 more after this so there hopefully wont be any delay after the first one is made.

pm me if anyone is interested. these kits will work with both the 242 and 231 case.

from what i understand the aw4 and ax15 crossmembers are the same but bolted in different locations, i have always had aw4 transmissions so if anyone locally wants a reeaally cheap long arm kit that has a manual transmission pm me if i can use your xj to build a kit off of it

It's just 1/2-3/4 of an inch lower were the mount is with the 5 speed crossmember

I was shooting for 500 but heims cost too much so we decided to sell them at $599.

if your really pressed for cash i can build you one with rubber bushings for $449 although heims will obviously be a better option.

the kit will include crossmember, lower and upper arms with heim joints, transfercase skid plate, all grade 8 hardware for installation.

check out my build thread to see more about the design of the kit,
although mine was a garage fabbed kit, the ones i am selling are much cleaner and better quality than mine.
