Lincoln locker? I'll have to google that one. haven't heard of it. I wheel hard, but It's on the road more. and when a vehicle is out of comission, the wife needs to use it. I think an auto locker will drive her crazy, or make her nervous something is about to break!

A lincoln locker is the same thing as welding up your axles.. People call it a Lincoln locker because Lincoln is a popular welding machine. That and Miller locker just sounds stupid.

spartan = ratcheting/lunchbox/drop-in locker etc. replaces only the spider gears inside the carrier. ratchets pops and bangs but they're cheap. I run one in front
detroit/yukon/ARB and others = full case lockers. they replace the entire carrier and hold the ring. auto lockers unlock when you let off the gas. shafts spin freely around turns

So Serious, another question since you have been so helpful(Along w/ everyone else). My rear leaf springs, they RC, so they are short. I dont want to deal with the relocation bracket, and a couple of guys on here are intersted in mine. if I were to get new leaf springs(want at least 5.5) should I get lift shackles as well, for more articulation? So should I get a proper set of 4.5 leaf with a lift shackle? Or get 5.5 leaf with my stock shackle?

I picked up D44 at the time with 4:10 so I geared the front to match, chromoly 30 spline, locker, hub assembly, Durango box... Already had planned the front Now im just regretting not going long arms the first time around

If you want a more capable rig, locker for sure, If you want to outflex your friends, then longer control arms.
Shortarms can flex more than enough. I'm willing to bet 95% of the people on this forum have never lifted a tire with their swaybars disconnected.
Longer control arms are beneficial for sure, but the added flex you can gain is one of the last reasons to switch to them imo. I would rather have a tire in the air and a tire firmly planted while both getting power, than a tire firmly planted and a tire barely planted with only the barely planted one getting the power.

That last explanation is leaving me with hopes for both upgrades. I'm gonna lean towards the long arms and lock the rear if I regear. Thanks again for all the great info!
