It does feel good! I had a good experience, in fact replacing rear springs was not as much a task as attaching hitch. The bolts holding the muffler shield were way more difficult than spring bolts. Plus that bumper is a real pain.
Next is putting in spartan locker in my 8.25. I've done a lot of research but can not find a really good video, as in literally every single step. I read somewhere about removing brake and e-brake lines. Is that necessary? I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere else.

That's awesome. I wish I still had that ambition. Lol. My Jeep would be so much nicer and I would have another on the road. Finally did bite the bullet and did ball joints and hubs and rotors and pads on my wife's XJ though. That went smoothly as well. Still need to do leafs on 2 of them and a swap on a 3rd.

My leafs were a serious pain. It was so bad, that the first time I tackled it I had to give up and button it all back up. I felt very defeated. I thought about taking it to a shop (no one has worked on my Jeep but me so far). But I buckled down, and tried again the next weekend armed with a little more information and a few more parts (spare bolts just in case). It took nearly all of 2 solid days to get them off. It sucked. Then I had the new ones in in about 30 minutes.
If I knew now, what I didn't know then I could probably have gotten it done in half a day. Especially if I had a buddy helping. But I was being extra careful because I didn't want to break or cut anything unnecessarily. Ended up cutting out 2 leaf eye bolts (one front and one rear). Neither of which were very rusty, but just very seized to the bushing sleeve. But I took the time to work the bolt out as much as possible before cutting them so that they would not leave a portion of the bolt stuck in the frame after cutting (the main mistake I see made on the forums and youtube).

I guess I need to post a "not so victorious" pic. Fixing to go on a 3 hour drive so I was just checking all my bolts and parts to see if any had fallen off and I noticed my passenger side ebrake cable making some noise. So I chased it to the drum and apparently in my haste to the finish line I forgot to slip the ebrake plate thingy into the slotted bar between the drum shoes. It has been ok for over a week but as soon as I can I'll have to get back in there to fix that.

Boy do I have a bone to pick with y'all.
Putting in a Spartan locker is not nearly as easy as y'all make it sound. I don't know why but my spacer things were really a nightmare to get to seat right. Finally I decided to rotate the carrier and presto, the spacers fell into place. Now i have a nice noisy rearend.
That's what she said . . .
