Look what I did off-loading yesterday...PLEASE HELP!
Yesterday a friend and I were going through some puddles, not that deep at all 2-3 ft. We stopped to cool down and rest our Jeeps, and when I went to start it back up, she started sputtering. I thought it was weird but kept going. We got to another spot with water and I floored through it and while doing that my Jeep died.
I tried starting, it and it cranks but WILL NOT turn over. I checked the distributer, intake, and fuses and they are all fine. The Jeep just sputters and sounds like it is gasping for air.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I need to get it out of the creek where I left it overnight

Ill give that a try. Im not going to change the oil right now, because based on the circumstances i dont see any way water could have got in the engine....i guess anything is possible though.
To check spark dont i pull a plug, tap to valve cover and crank it to see if i get a spark?

i hydrolocked my motor a few months ago and i didn't think i went through deep enough water either but i went through it fast and it splashed everywhere. i would pull all the sparks and cranked it over to see if any water comes out. mine was shootin everywhere lol. also check the airfilter to see if theres any water in it. also check your oil and see if there's bubbles in it and if there is you might be hydro locked. re check the distributor as well.

also make sure that inside of the distributor cap is completely dry. wipe it out with a dry rag. and no worries man i hydrolocked my motor. got the water out (cranked it over without the plugs in until water stopped shooting out) changed the plugs and air filter and changed the oil a couple times also left the hood open in the sun all day to try to dry her out and it runs great now and my jeep is also my dd. she also has 159,000 miles on her haha

I would hate to know someone saw my post and decided to dive into a lake because they thought it would just dry out.
