Thanks everybody, I looked at everybody's suggestions and did some research for my budget. I ended up going with the Gabriel Pros. Got them for $26 each. Will put them on in a couple weeks.

Ten years ago I had my main springs re-arced and had an extra leaf added to the stack. I had some heavy duty shocks put in to account for the difference in spring tension.
The load capacity of the XJ went up to about 2400 pounds. (I also inherited about 1" of lift in the rear.)
I'm wondering what type of shocks would be good upgrades?
