Lower control arm help!
Hey pals, in the process of installing a procomp 2" budget boost. Got the new front shocks in place and spacers, now im having trouble getting the lower control arms back in place to bolt to the unibody. I'm in a car port with no available tree to ratchet strap. I'm using a hi-lift jack and stands, as well as a bottle jack to support the axle.
Anyone have a good SAFE solution to shimmy the axle forward and get these bolts back in place? I also noticed that my axle has slightly shifted to the passenger side. Most of my buds are out of town so im doing this solo. I'm worried if i pull too hard the jack stands will come tumbling. BTW this is my first time doing a driveway lift so if anyone has experience with this ANY advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

not sure if theres a proper procedure for this. but the way I do it is place 2 jackstands under the frame behind the LCA mounts with tires off
bolt on the new LCA's to the frame
then slowly jack the one side of the axle up and down until the new control arm reaches. move your bottle jack to the other side of the axle and repeat
hand tighten the bolts
tires on and set it back on the ground
torque up those bolts

Mikey, definitely go with Atmos advice, get the jack stands under the frame rails to support your rig.Stack and toss your tires under there as well.Chock your back tires.
Are the shocks gas filled? You may want to disconnect now and do them up latter as (if gas filled) they may be extended holding your axle outward and you are working against them to get the axle back the the LCA's?

thanks guys, i'm gonna throw the tires underneath - good idea! and ill disconnect the new shocks as well, didnt even cross my mind. im gonna take the flex approach and just jack up each side one at a time. i took a break from it today but ill be back at it tomorrow. i havent been that frustrated since i blew out my rear axle! lol
