State law(yers) makers must not think the farmers there have any common sense at all. Around here many of our farmers are the local and state politicians. So pretty much anything goes. One of the best ones I saw was some breed of hatchback car with the hatch off and farm use painted down the side. Saw it in town quite a lot. Wasn't sounding too good for a bit and then never saw it any more.

This is one of my pet peeves because we are not the dummies living on top of each other and then *****ing about our nosy neighbors and how bad the traffic is. Although I will say the movie "the hills have eyes" has done us a service in this aspect. Until that movie came out tons of them would stop and get into everything, Now most of them roll their windows up and drive through as fast as they can. lol

Intellect without common sense. Seen it a lot when dealing with the "tourists". That I've learned to deal with. It's the complaining about the lack of "conveniences" and us being "behind the times" that irks me to no end. They don't realize just how wise ol' Jed was.

Absolutely, me too. "How can you live like this? How do you eat without any McDonald's?". Yet they will complain about the price of city gas and air quality and still jump in the car and drive to these "convenient" stores three times a day. Once for breakfast, once for lunch, and once for dinner. What happened to making a list and going shopping once a week? Must be "behind the times" to think this far ahead. lol

Can't tell you the last time we did fast food. I will if I need a good "purging" though.
We've got one place in particular we go that sells produce and meats that they raise on their farm. The "Flying W". They also have a small diner that serves their products. Their specialty is prime rib. And their steak salads are to kill for.

150 miles!?!? You hiding from the law?
We've got a few grocery stores within a 1/2hr drive. Now for a decent selection of building supplies we're looking at ~60 miles one way. Same for a medical center.

Off to take Dad out wheeling to the "old ranch". He hasn't been there in 20 years and this might be the last chance he ever has again.
So good luck with that and looking forward to hearing it went easy. Got my fingers crossed. lol

Thank you Earl, So the BLM put a gate two miles shy of the historic landmark My Great Grandfather built it 1910. Dad is pissed because he can't even walk to it to see it for the last time before he passes. He can't hike in two miles and back out at 83 years old and bad knees Etc. "There is a road! Drive over the damn gate!" Dad...
This is what is Bull****... What about old people and kids... You bet this will be addressed at our local field office... I know the manager and his Dad was a damn crook. Updates coming on this...
Just checked on another tab... Looks like they have the gate two miles shy of the actual wilderness border line. This WILL get fixed! lol
I am in hiding for a reason man...

I've been reading for YEARS in hunting mags about the confrontations between private citizens,Private landowners, and the BLM. WTH is their problem. As if landowners didn't have enough problems on their plates now a days.

No need to commute, we are zoned where we can live on the same property as the shop. It makes common sense, only in the city do they zone so that everyone has to drive 20 miles to work in a commercial zone.
Then they complain about the air quality and how much fuel everyone is using.
