The WJ parked on the Carolina line.. crossing the border going south. Emerald Isle, North Topsail Beach, Atlantic Beach, Morhead, and on outward all of those islands they are on the radar. They are begining to start cleaning up those areas now, and maybe I will go there soon? Texas has major destruction from all of the flooding happening there now too though? This is a high mileage month for the WJ.

I got back over to see the first town this morning. According to the most recent ongoing assessments, it appears about 75% complete out on the street level. It is time to start making a dent in the pile. Tractor trailers are coming onto the scene today, and we will begin haul-out operations.

I am going to wrap this thread up. I met with representatives of another county yesterday evening. Moving onto the next project. First order of business is to establish the new management sites. These are them; these yards here in North Carolina will soon have a flurry of activity happening.



Haul-out operations began yesterday for the project taking place in South Carolina. Hauling away the debris accumulated by this storm will go very quickly for this area. it should all be gone by Monday.



I am heading north for a long weekend before they get started. I will be back on Monday, for when they are ready.

Leaving the NC islands tomorrow..

Heading south. I am taking the WJ down to the South Carolina/Georgia line. Going onto the SC Islands, their waterways, and some of the coastline. There are some less-wealthy communities, and other rural areas in the far country to go help.

The project begining this weekend should be a larger-scale operation. It will cover more of an area. I can tell by seeing the contractor trucks in the line-up.

Texas is still a month or more away probably at this point.

There are 5 hrs and thirty minutes of tire turning ahead. I am leaving, going south towards Georgia. The distal trailing edge of South Carolina where it sits by its neighbor state is the destination. I have 36 hrs.. more than a full day, to get there.

I'm getting lost for a day. Turning off the gps navigator, and veering off somewhere up ahead.. before we all get started. I will be totaly exhausted to sleep when I get there tonight. Wherever that ends up being.
