moderately loud tires
planning my next xj build dd/ww, and im looking for tires. i love the road noise from some mud tires. the tsl's i had were a little too much, friends herd me from a mile and a half away at 55mph, and they wore way too fast. any recommendations for a 33/12.5/15 that is a 30k or greater wear tire, aggressive, and makes some noise so people know its me?

BFG KM2s are moderate noise level. Enough to be heard, but not enough to be annoying.
Back in the 80's I build my first performance V8 big block. Turned out with a ton of power and crazy torque. I mentioned to the machinist that built the heads that even though I put a radical cam in it I was a little disappointed that idled too nice. He almost punched me and said, "That doesn't mean ****!" Same thing to you.

Running MTR's. Got 30k on them now. Looks as though I can easily get another 10k or more out of them. Noisy and kinda rough from 0-10 mph, real smooth and very little noise from 10-50 mph, and a smooth ride with a steady low noise tire hum at speeds over 50 mph.

Irok radials make a little noise, they're not that loud though imo. And they'll last 30k+.
My KM2s are good tires, but I can't hear them at all. I like a little hum out of the tires, so that's really my only complaint about the KM2. Pit bull Rockers have a nice hum as well, but I think the only 33 they offer is a bias ply, I'm thinking its 35"+ for their radials. Which is no big deal unless you're only looking for a radial.
