Bushwackers require at least 33's to look agressive on a xj and 33's plus the fenders are NOT cheap.

Ok here is what I have come up with so far about a 29" tire idk how wide I can go without trimming any thing, 15x8 rims, front and rear bumper with hooks, and I took off My side moldings the other day and was wondering if there is any thing I can put on that will protect the sides from other peoples doors? Possible rock sliders... Thx again

That's what the molding was there for, at least it is for mine. I have a couple dents in the molding that would've been bad sheetmetal damage if it wasn't there. Rocker sliders would only protect the lower part of the door so it's useless against trucks and suv's.

Ya but couldn't stand the way they looked they were faded and all different shades of grey and I really like the way it looks without it.

Mine are grey too. Looks poopy on a black xj but they are easily touched up with forever black or armor all. But if you like it without them then off they go

You can get a cheap hood scoop off ebay for like 8 bucks, it looks really sweet, and if you drill holes in your hood it will be functional. My under hood temp went down considerably after I installed mine, and now my engine breathes cool air all the time (perfect compliment to my cold air intake). You should also consider a 2" lift up front with a stock rear, thats what I have and it looks really aggressive. I also wheel with it and it can handle a lot. You could use 2" spacers or coils from a zj at a junkyard, either way its about $30. Here is a picture of my rig:

I second that motion. Throw on some nice siped M/T tires, such as Bighorns in 30x9.50 flavor.

noooooooooo, not on a stocker with smaller tires. MAYBE on a lifted rig with at minimum 33x12.50 and about 3.75" backspacing. bushwackers are ghey IMO.

if you don't want to trim anything, go with a 235/75R15. You may get away with a 30x9.50 w/o trimming, YMMV. 30x9.50 are about approx. 1/2" taller over all and 1/2" wider than the 235. Personally, I would go with a 15x7 wheel w/ 4.5" backspacing.

check out www.jcroffroad.com for bumpers and sliders. the sliders may or may not protect you from other peoples doors. it all depends on the ride height of your rig and the other vehicles and the design of the others doors. i have personally never heard of people buying rock sliders to prevent door dings, but in the right situation, i guess they could.

this brings back alot of memories. I was leasing a dodge dakota 2wd and caught the off road bug. Since it was a lease I was not allowed to modify it. Well...i found a loophole I banged my head real hard on the roof while getting in the truck and got a huge bump that almost bled out. I went to my dealer and said, look I am getting beat up cuz this thing is so low and I'm tall. Can I lift it just a little? They didn't say yes but they didn't say no. So....a couple months later it was up 8" on 33's and had a rear locker. Yup, leased OFF ROAD vehicle

Try that with your dad and uncle. It's worth the little painful bump
