i am starting to feel some of this pain. I just got the a leaky hose replaced and a radiator hose replaced and my check engine light is gone. Now I hear a light rubbing noise that is not comming from the engine but from the front wheels. No idea what it is right now, but i hope its nothing serious. I have plans for new tires and a lift and have already had to put that off by $300 for the last repairs. Oh well, this is the life I choose so this is the life I live.

The Jeep Cherokee = A ready made pile of manufactured grief, and I would'nt trade mine for anything! Their machines, machines break especially after many miles, even worse if you push them. It's just part of owning one.

If you're not breaking **** you're not pushing it hard enough.

Very true in both aspects! these things are like gas powered RC cars in that u go play expecting to break something, & feel truly lucky when you don't! To the OP, all I gotta say is don't plan a trip to moab, cause with that attitude you won't have any fun!!! lol

When I go to moab I'm bringing a spare u-joint for every location on the Jeep, spare axle shafts for both front and rear along + a spare driveshaft. Along with a bunch of tools for anything I might break. When I finally make it to moab I'm gonna wheel it hard and plan on breaking at least one thing.

well unfortunately this is my daily driver and not my play toy. I need this to get back and forth while I save money. So my attitude does not allow me to have fun with it right now. Doesnt mean we have a bad attitude about our jeeps or the offroad sport. In a couple of years when I can buy another daily driver (which I will pay cash for again, just like my jeep) then it can be the constant repair job getting trashed on every offroad park I can reach.

yes it may be a pain. i know what you mean. But see it as a opprounity to get rid of those stock parts and get bigger more better stuffs, and all the more reason to get new things thats what my dad did for the WJ,"honey i think the shaking is coming from the rear diff. I need to get a locker to get rid of the shaking." when the problem is really a steering stablizer

That's why I am going to have mine trailered to Moab. I plan on dragging home a broken wreck. All part of the master plan to convince the wife I have to go all out on rebuilding it.

lol know the feeling! I bought mine for 1400 and in the past month have spend about 600 easy on her...lol. New track bar, JKS quicker disconnects, oil and filter, bunch of new bulbs, new harmonic balancer and seal, alignment, tires balanced, axle u joints, hubs and brakes are next. Good times indeed...
