my gear ratio please! help!

Is it a manual trans? I guess a lot of 5-speed 4.0 powered xj's had 3.07 gears. The best way to figure out the ratio for sure is to count the driveshaft turns per tire revolution.

Its most likely 3.07. Dont know why they did that to the 5-speeds...
When you do count the revolutions, only jack up one rear tire off the ground. Then you will have to spin the one tire two times and count the revolutions of the driveshaft. If you have a posi or locker then jack both the wheels and spin them around once while counting the driveshaft.
