With an upgraded harness and 80/100 H4 bulbs do you need/recommend a battery upgrade? If not, what about with this setup and extra fog lights?

A nice battery never hurts. I did not put much thought into it as I already run an optima. But no I don't believe it's necessary. I did notice my jeep starts much faster and seemed to run better with the optima! I hear odyssey batteries are a better way to go though.

The battery (positive +12v post). Black wires with eyelet are chassis grounds. Male socket (3-prong) plugs into driver's side harness (the part that used to plug into your sealed beam).

Default Highs wont turn off

I installed the harness and Hella H4 Conversion Headlights from quadratec. The lows and highs work and look great, but once I switch to highs I cant switch back to lows. I have to turn the lights completely off to get back to low. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen?

My guess would be a bad ground on your relay. I'd start with making sure all your grounds have good bare metal contact.

Pull the fog lamp fuse out of the panel under the hood, on the pass. side fender.

Default Well worth it

Installed the Putco harness and the AutoPal lamps with the 55/60 bulbs it comes with. Awesome results! Very happy with how this turned out. Even the 55/60's are plenty bright. No more dim yellow glow. Now i can actually tell that my headlights are on!

A little messing around to feed all the wires through, but that's the hardest part of the install. Very simple. Probably took me an hour or so to complete the entire install.

The only thing is that my high beam indicator light no longer comes on, but I dont really care. For the price of the parts and the ease of the install this project is well worth it.

Very happy with the results. If you are looking to upgrade this is the ticket.

Awesome guide! Is there a different parts list for a 92? Or will the things you bought work for me?

My harness didn't make it a year before both connections to the positive terminal corroded and broke. I was driving home and my highs went out and shortly there after my lows went out. Popped the hood and noticed the two cables no longer attached. Unfortunately I was in a pinch and ordered another harness. I do plan on cutting those two cables and just making one better cable myself with better quality connectors. Everyone should check these cables from time to time on their Putco harnesses!
