ABS version of a Cowl Snorkel
Decided to make a thread about this in responce to Dukie564's thread. Since i have an ABS system (which doesn't even work) on my 1992 Sport, i had to do an alternative version. Got a ChromeIntakes filter and intake off eBay for $30 (There are CHEAPER routes to take) and from there i used a length of flex tube from the local parts store and a K&N filter (Model 3130, about $30-$40).
My original plan was to just use the ChromeIntakes kit, but a few people pointed out it's just sucking in hot air after the engine warms up and recommended i do a cowl mod. So i did, and it turned out great!
I used a Sawzaw and drill to make these horrible holes since i didn't have a 3inch hole saw.
the original CI intake
the cowl mod. Note that i made the hole in the firewall too far to the right, so the first time the wipers were turned on they jammed and pushed the filter back. DON'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE!!
I need to get some door trim or something to cover the sharp edges.
And a video on how it sounds at full throttle (With a straight-pipe, and pardon my friend), going to about 5kRPM in second gear. And about my clutch, i have no idea what's wrong with it.

Thank you to mrfajita and dukie564 for convincing me to do this and the advice

Bah ****. I got curious and went to check the flex tube, i gotta replace it. Got a few very small holes in it, but those can always turn into massive tears. Actually... I think I'll just flip it around and use exhaust puddy or something... I'll have to look into that.
