New Civic Si
As great as the cherokee has been the past year of ownership, I have decided to buy a 12' Civic SI Coupe in Black. I still have the jeep until march because I need it for the winter and insurance is paid till then anyway. For the most part though, as my first car and designated beater it has been great. I will probably not be on here anymore and eventually become inactive. This forum has been great and you guys make any newcomers feel like vet's on this board. Well, this is Scruffythewild, for now, signing off.

At least not a '12, I've been reading reviews on them and people hate them. My wife's daily is an 09 sedan Si and we had one of the first 06 Si coupes when they first hit here in Louisville. We love both of them

Yeah don't get a '12. I've seen at least two car websites talking about how the '10-'12 civic really stinks and they've addressed a lot of the problems with the '13

The only positive thing I have to say about the '12 is that the oil filter is easier to get to. It's too heavy, doesn't corner as well and just doesn't have that sporty feel of older models.

Its complicated but it was either a black 12 coupe' ( I wanted a sedan) and keep the jeep for a while or sell the jeep and get an old base rsx... Also the 12' was a redesign so whoever said the 10-12 had problems you probably meant 10-11? Also I am on the honda forums and I havent read about any major problems. I'm sick of the xj and its constant problems.

The '10-11' had problems, hands down, mostly tranny issues. Jump on the 9th civic board and you'll understand that everyone is complaining about the lack of vehicle feel with the driver with the '12. Plus the fact that the header is casted with the head, that's going to be a joy to put a header or turbo mani on, because you can't. Also the k20 heads from the previous years don't fit, different head stud pattern. Anyways good luck to you sir, I hope you enjoy the new car.

You gotta think positive!!!, Now that you have a good daily driver, you can really tear into her with... axel swaps, lift kits, tire upgrades, stroker kits, etc, etc.
