Default New engine with failures! need some help

what i have, 1991 Cherokee Sport 4.0 5spd. 3"lift. 31's.
ok, so I had issues with my old engine, 240xxx. I had Oil leaking outta every seam. along with low piston pressure rings were shot. It was cheaper for me to buy another engine then rebuild my old one. so i did the swap

Now after having a shop do all that work, with warranty, cause i didnt have the time. wish i would have now. The new engine has issues, rebuilt engine had 86xxx miles. 10mpg or less. half tank an ive gone less then 80miles "NOT A GEARing issue either". Seems like head gaskets blown. There is milky white oil coming outta my intake. i cant keep freeway speed 60mph, bogs out going up any sorta incline "have to down shift basically down to third gear to get back up and go" and shutters at 1500rpm/higher. valves are knocking already. Everything was replaced before install. just frustrating.

engines under a warranty. so yay for that.

now my questions are....

*should i just replace this one with the 4.0 again or is there any other converions i can do to get more towing power? "no my engine didnt go from towing" all this is without load. i havent even had it 2months. seen v8 conversions in 89 xjs just cant find info on em or where would i look for conversion parts/kits? what bolts up?

*anyone had this problem before? what were the causes and what had to be fixed? with current issue!

*has anyone ever gotten a rebuild engine that failed? or is this just my crappy luck?

*Anyone know of a real jeep specialist worth going too here in Wa. state near Everett?

Worth fixin again?

Take it back and have it fixed under warranty, sounds like a head gasket failure or a cracked cylinder.
