SO yes, I expect a majority of 'Grocery Getters' and 'Mall Crawlers' to join, and I'm hoping people like myself can convince those people to take it off road occasionally ( my secret mission here )

What you do to it, like tinted windows, custom wheels and tires, stereo systems, and yes, even that Yakima rack is cool. The keywords were 'No Tools' . Heck, I think some came with fog lights on the front as a factory option, so go for it. I consider these things personality makers. I'm even running an upgraded 3 row radiator, but that did not alter the stock look.

I had no idea this would be such a bone of contention with anyone. Perhaps, since I really do want to get another Cherokee that I do want to mod, and really do want to benefit from others builds, I will start another club for these peeps as well. How about the "The Cherokee Mod Squad" ? I really don't want to miss out on the experiences and friendships of those who feel they have something to contribute, and I certainly had no intention to offend anyone.
Its just kind of strange thats all. I mean its sits fine with me, just a little weird.

Went up my local wheeling spot today and I must say that for a stocker WITH THE SWAY BARS ATTACHED it flexes nicely!

...and for those who assume we're all a bunch of mall crawlers flexin' out our 27s and functioning sway bars on parking stops and slammed Civics... you should be careful with your assumptions

BTW, there isn't an invisible non-stock stick holding up my hatch in that picture... the struts actually work.

This has gotten ugly. A lot quicker then I thought it would. I my self am trying to keep its stock appearance. It is 21 years old with relative low mileage for a jeep. It qualifies as a collectors. There is things I've done to it, but I kept the stock appearance. I have replaced the headliner, back to the new factory condition along with the overhead console. And replace the compass/temperature module with a working one. I upgraded the the sound system, But I used the factory locations, And kept the power antenna. You can not tell there is $2000 worth of stereo equipment in it. My factory fog lights have been rewired and now have the brightest (H4) bulbs I could find. My headlights are upgraded (H4) HIDs. My front brake rotors have replaced with a heavier rotor, then the factory castings. The leather seats are great condition. I plan on rebuffing my factory Lattice style rims soon, to a nicer shine. Every thing and option in mine is in working condition. Every one has their preference, of what they want there Cherokee to look like. For me, I'm trying to retain stock show room condition, For nostalgic reasons. It has been in my family for 18 years now. I can drive it to any car show, and park it for free in the collectors section. Next day, I can throw my two Weimaranars in the back and go out haunting. Not every Jeep you see has to be a rock climber.

I for one, LOVE this Club! It's cool for the people that don't want to throw a 5' Inch Lift on it and get bashed for it. (Just sayin' Happens to me all the time, especially at fifteen years old.) Anywayyys.

1995 Jeep Cherokee SE, 2-Door, 2-Wheel Drive, 5-Speed Manual, linked to the 4.0 High Output Inline 6 w/ 242,412 Miles. Also a former California Highway Patrol truck. Been in the family many many years, and now handed down to me! LOVING IT.

I know I'm not a hardcore Jeeper, and yes mines a mall crawler/grocery getter/get me to work so I an make money Jeep, but so what it was approved by the Government to drive on the road, so what's wrong with not lifting it and all that?

I bought it because the XJ has proven its existence over the years to be dependable.

I would like to have a group that will help each other out solve some problems, and as long as Atmos and F1Addict are in, I think we will have out technical assistance guru's covered.

Edit: want to add 91Limited to the guru's list, these guys consistently seem to know what's up when a question is asked.

True! Mine is the same thing, except not work. High School more like it! Hahaha! I totally agree with this guy. All the Jeep owners at my school are always like, You should lift it, it's a waste of a Jeep, it's a station wagon...Blah Blah Blah. My response is always, Maybe I like the way it is. Maybe every time I go out I don't feel like replacing a half the undercarriage of the Jeep when I get home. Shuts them up real quick. Haha. I don't think Jeeping in general should be as biased as it is, with lifting & modifying. Thats just my own opinion as a fifteen year old, then again, half the Jeep people I come across tend to disagree with me. Hahaha!

Yep mine is a grocery getter every day also. Let my parents borrow it to get around or whoever needs it. Just an everyday jeep. And its my only transportation besides my motorcycle which I have not ridden much.

Sits lower than any mini van out there. Great machine!

Mine is a mall crawler, grocery getter, etc... as in my other post. It sits lower than a new stock grand cherokee.
But hey have fun each of us are entitled to our own things. No problem here you guys carry on. Sorry that you were bullied in other threads. You know those people exist in every forum no matter what the forum is about.

There is no place for little ol me. The lifted big tire cherokees don't want me, the stock guys don't want me. I think I will just go drive my jeep

The next time jeepers at your HS complain to you, about it being a station wagon. Agree with them, and then show them. Your title & registration where it states. They are indeed listed as station wagons.

Nope, they're listed as carryalls in the fine state of IL. Same as my Bronco and that sure as hell ain't no station wagon.

Excellent! This club is a welcome home for 2WDs! I'm pretty sure you won't find very many 2WDs lifted anyways, but there is probably a few..... somewhere. Welcome TAB
