YKYDAXJW you read:
"Jeep parts are often the hardest parts to swap into Jeeps."
...and you sigh as you think of a failed 'ten second swap.'

You know you drive an XJ when your buddy gets a cool little sports car and you ride with him a bunch to save gas, and now the Jeep has a failing hub (4th this year), stuck open thermostat (just replaced 2 months ago), and a power steering pump that sounds like Chewbacca in a noose singing opera.
So over thanksgiving break I'm putting in a new thermostat and taking her wheeling to get rid of the jealousy

YKYDAXJ when you encourage your buddy to try to get up a snow bank and test his flex, even if it means crashing into the side of yoru XJ.
Dents = character. And who wants an XJ without character? Not thiiiis girl.

you know you drive an xj when .....this should be good
you know you drive an XJ when .... You find a job 60 miles from home , which the road is rather knarly and 4 wheel drive is needed .. you wait and wait on the phone call to say you actually start , you get it ... in the meantime you aquire a pretty clean lil 88 xj , super clean considering the year .. change the oil , change the coolant .. replace a rear window, rip out the padding under the carpet cuz its hashed, cleaned the inside so good it looks brand new ..any ways ... you get the call for orientation, and COULD take a bus , save some gas , but your feelin cocky cuz you just bought a jeep and want to test out the 4x4... all goes well until there is snow and ice on the ground , you start sliding all over hell , so you pull over and put it in 4x4 ... 2 miles later your dead on the side of the road , wondering what the frick just happened ..bat is good , alt is good , spark is good , so your like huuhhh ... orientation is in 15 minutes ... SOOOO , you walk your *** along an icy highway for 30 minutes on your way to the "new job" , only to be picked up on the side of the highway by your new bosses, looking like a lost puppy ... yeah ... not to mention the teeth that had to be pulled to get her off the mountian .. oh and then the un neccecary fuel pump swap ( even though it needed it any way , its old ) , and the the cps sensor swap which , i would rather **** glass than ever do again .... ( yeah , my *** dropped the bolt into the tranny from the lil access panel thingy) im ripping my hair out over here... this has all happened since the 9th of this month....LOL ... but .... even with all the bs , im gonna be a proud jeep owner when its all done !!! And my vent sesh is complete.... if you have any input or what have u , just check my thread about being stuck on the side of a high **** snowy **** mountain road ...
