Live in Cali or Nevada? Cuz there is no snow up here near the Rubicon.

Well I think what throws us off is calling it an inspection. Just called a smog check here, and the focus is on what comes out the tail pipe. They do check crtian things like making sure airbox to muffler is all CARB legal and certain other emissions related things. Plus barkes and lights, from the sound of it other places have much more strict regulations related to lifts and wheels. The smog check places don't fail you unless the above said things are bad.

When you consider dome lights a luxury (I have a mini mag LED and use it often. lol)
When you have to pull over to reconnect a fuel injector plug every once in a while.
You can tell when its warmed up cause your vacuum leak stops whistling.

Crazy? We got maybe 6 inches of snow.
You know you drive an XJ when you wake up at 3AM and there is 5 inches of snow, you bundle up, get in the Jeep and go play in the snow

We'll get one or two good ones this year. Especially for you in N.Y.

My check engine light doesn't work. The light itself works (It turns on when turning the key and I can pull codes) but the light never stays on. It doesn't matter what's wrong with the Jeep, the light never turns on. I drove home 3 hours with 4 detonated spark plugs and the light never came on even though the Jeep barely ran and stalled out at least 20 times that ride.

Attached a pic of the first detonated plug I pulled which was cyl 3. Cylinders 4 and 5 were a little worse, and cyl 6 was mostly missing. This happens every time I run regular gas. I run 93 octane now and it runs like a champ. I usually fill up with 96 octane on dyno days.
