Yea everyone was fine. It flipped on its side onto a hill and bounced back onto the wheels. I drove it out of the ditch, changed a flat tire, and then drove it 7 miles home lol. And thats the plan for the future is to trail rig but for now the money is going towards the 99

Dang still sucks though. After i get my 99 regeared the jeep projects have to get put on hold for awhile so i can start investing money and time into my 68 firebird. I love my trail rigs but a weekend cruiser is a must have too. I'm all about jeeps and old muscle.

Yea same here. I grew up around big engines. My dad currently has an 89 s10 with a 355 small block thats been his project for some time. A 69 firebird sounds beautiful though.

Don't see too many first gen firebirds and i wanted something that wasn't as common as camaros and mustangs tend to be. Found out from picking up my firebird that people love to clone them into camaros, thats why you don't see too many of them. I'm keeping my bird a bird, no way would i turn a car into something it's not. It's not as beautiful now as it will be comeday but i love the 1gen fbody lines, class like that is gone in new cars anymore and it's a shame but it makes the old ones worth hanging on to even more.

Yup plus you feel safer being wrapped in steel rather than plastic

Yup i feel the same way too. You will have that with new cars though seeing as how they are essentially made to be disposable.

Modern cars are designed to absorb impact and protect the occupants. You are much safer in a modern "plastic" car than you are in any car designed before current crash test standards. Of course the only plastic parts are cosmetic, there are no structural parts made from plastic. That said, I hear the Cherokee XJ holds up well in collisions.

YKYDAXJW every time you stop at a gas station when there's snow on the ground, at least one person makes the comment "Man I bet you're glad you're driving that on a day like today!"

Yea I know all new cars are actually safer than old cars and the plastic is on the outside but I FEEL safer in an older car with the steel body. That's just me though.

Its like how I feel much safer in my friend's lifted Ford on 38s. Mostly because of 90% of vehicles hit it, they will get destroyed by the frame, bumpers, or tires without even touching the body.

I will take old steel any day as long as the other car is newer because their car will take the impact

I have a muffler count going in my signature, but I'm doing my lift before I replace it cause that's an expensive tab lol. My 3" lift will actually bring my rear end up about 7" from where it's at now, and a Super44 OffRoad muffler should hold up nicely.

YKYDAXJW every note your sub hits makes something different rattle in the back, and you can identify each sound without turning around.
