The braking in my Xj sucks in anything wet. The problem is that they are pretty much all front brakes. You've got to put a lot of peddle into it to get it to stop and by then your front tires lock up.

Take a look at those rear brakes, maybe they just need adjusting, or maybe a wheel cylinder is leaking.

They're properly adjusted, wheel cylinders are good, and the shoes/drums all have about 20k on them. I'm doing a disk brake swap as soon as I get the hoses and cables for it. I looked into my rear brakes for months but couldn't find anything. Talked to several people driving Xj's around my year and they all said the same thing.

Hmm, there's definitely something not quite right then. Well, good luck with the swap!

You know you drive an XJ when you replace the hatch struts, and your girlfriend comments on how she didn't hit her head when she got something out of the back.

YKYDAXJW your new poly bushings say "We recommend that these components be installed by a professional mechanic," and you roll your eyes.

Ykydaxj when you finally realize you own a "light duty vehicle" and the thing starts to fall apart because you took it wheeling 1 to many times...
I realized that jeeps can take a little beating but once you go over that **** starts to go like I realized that where my powersteering bolts up to the frame at isn't looking so solid anymore and I hear that's common for xjs im pissed cuz once I break it the xj is going to the scrap yard there is no fixing it unless some jeep god wants to pm me and tell me howto reinforce this asap damn jeep makes me wanna cry
