.....you take your son out on his first "wheeling trip" in your beater DD and get stuck on the mountain side when your slave cylinder takes a dump followed closely by your fuel pump. This bit of drama is followed by the inevitable rescue call to get winched out of the hole that you're also stuck in which, in turn, is followed by the bobsled-like run down the mountainside, in the dark, with no clutch, no fuel pump, crappy brakes/steering and having to occasionally run alongside the jeep to push it so as not to lose momentum on the flats spots in the road. All this just to catch a tow home. However, while all this is going on, your son takes a break from a fair a bit of "hootin and hollerin" just to turn to you to say "Dad.....this is some excellent father and son bonding time"!!

That, my friends, is when you know you drive an XJ!!

...and yes, it happened, Sunday.

Yeah im afraid to.....until im ready to deal with it right there and then. I love my XJ WAY too much to let a little thing like "unibody rails and floor fragments held together by carpet" to get rid of it. ill just make floors and stiffen the HELL out of it all at once. Somehow my rockers are mint though......ZERO floor from rail to rocker, then it just stops being rusty/rotted. still has the factory paint on the rockers.

I need to find someone like that...unfortunately i am lacking the race car to trade! lol but i got brand new 225/75 15's on repainted stock steelies, a 1.5 yr old cat back exhaust w a walker quiet flow muffler and tons of lil misc items i have no need for.
