You know you drive an xj when you start referring to the death wobble as a small shake!

When you have a tool box but you keep common sizes and tools next to your drivers seat... 13, 15, 18mm, screwdrivers, and channel locks lol

When going on a road trip means bring damn near your whole garage worth of tools, extra fluids, and spare parts...only to not need to use any of it.

I take mine on the highway everywhere. Sway bars disconnected, flying like 75 and no wobble. Holds temp at about 190

Same here. But sometimes I have to work 65 miles away. so its 45 minutes at 75mph white-knuckled on both hands chanting (yes chanting) swear words at every rough bridge. Glad I don't take passengers, their screaming might drown out the road/tire noise.

Same, its my only vehicle. No sways, but the shaking is bad. I also don't need a speedo because some shaking goes away at 70 and the driveline vibes start at 80.

I've pushed mine past the count on the speedo and it keeps going, to scared to try to top it out. I'd guess the most 90 that I've tried. Speedo goes to 85

How high does your speedo go? The ones we have here go up to 210K/h (130m/h). My brother topped his stock XJ out at 170K/h (105m/h). Said it had plenty left in the gearing just not enough power. Ive had mine up to 150k/h (95m/h) passing a Porche lol.

All the vibs I get are from unbalanced tyres. Saying that though mines still too low to the ground.

In the U.S i think most of the 91-96 dashes go to 85 and thats where the numbers stop lol I've had mine vertical with the red line past 85 on stock tires and 3.55 gears so i guess thats close to 95 or more

Mine is older than yours lol. I think it was after 96 when the speedos and factory speed capability went up. Mine goes faster but not sure how much haha

Pre 97 "top out" at 85 but they'll actually go back around so you have to add whatever speed it says to 85. Did it once on the day I bought it to really test the thing out
