You know you drive an xj when.
Whenever it makes a weird noise or you drive on curbs, you look at your friends & they say "it's a jeep thing you won't understand." lol

You know you drive an XJ when you work a 12hr night shift and then stay up all day to spend time with it.
YKYDXJ when parts are coming in the next day so you go to sleep, so it seems like they get there faster.

When you're neighbors wife doesn't think you're a stalker.
Explanation: There's an XJ not too far from me that I just noticed. I usually don't go that way into town, but ever since I saw the XJ, now I do. It's a really cool one, too. I've been slowing down and really looking at it, trying to see what all it's got on it. I may want to steal some ideas.
The other day, I saw a nice looking young lady walking around the yard. I thought maybe I shouldn't slow down to look at the Jeep. I don't want her calling the five-oh and complaining about "some weirdo in an old beater farm truck" creeping her out. So, I went on. I still looked at the Jeep (and dreamed of the day mine FINALLY gets here), but kept up my normal speed.
Yesterday, I finally met the owner at the gas station. I complemented him on his Jeep and we talked about XJ's and such. (I also told him about this forum) I mentioned that I was the dude in the red pickup that was driving by his house and didn't mean to freak his wife out. He told me that she had told him that some guy in a truck was driving a little slow in front of their house, but "she could tell by the 4WD truck that she knew he was just checking out the Cherokee."
Even XJ owners wives can spot those afflicted with the bug!
