MJ's are rare but that doesn't necessarily make them worth more. I bought mine for $250 not running but rust free. A new fuel pump got me home. I spent 3 months doing a resto-mod on it. I would say even with a fresh motor, new rear axle, XJ interior, new headliner, paint, spray in bedliner I would be lucky to get what I have in it out of it. Its a labor of love!

I would NEVER give that much for a XJ/MJ!

Here is my MJ the day I brought it home. Its a 89 w/160k, 4.0, Auto(column shift), NP-231, short bed.

Here it is now with fresh paint, bedliner, 3" OME/RE/Hell Creek hybrid lift, 31's, XJ interior(buckets/center console), fresh 4.0, Fresh Chryco 8.25(was d-35), new seals and repaired floorboards(all MJ's rust in the floorboards) About 3k and over 300 hours invested. I did all the work except the paint/body/bedliner

I was planning on getting an MJ monday for my boy.
$600, but reverse was out in the 5 speed.
Had 240k miles and a rust hole in the drivers side floor.
but my boy backed out and decided he wanted the Nissan instead so I'm replacing valves in it instead working on an MJ.

Oh well life goes on. If I had the extra cash I would go get it for me.
