Default No front+rear A-sway bar bad?

I dont have a rear anti sway bar right now and im about to go take out the one in the front as well. Will there be any problems with both front and rear sways taken out. Now i know that when i go over 75 im going to sway a bit.

disconnect it, ziptie it out of the way and take it for a little drive, then think better of it and connect it back before you end up on your lid, LOL

Taking the back one off is fine but I would leave the front one on if its going to be your dd. You can get a set of cheap sway bar discos or you can make your own.

leave the rear off, you wont need a new sway bar for the front, just longer sway bar links+some disconnects.

but if youre comfortable with the way it handles, then you could leave it off.

i run no sway bars daily

If I understand this thread concerns removing the front sway bar.

From what I have heard you should not take the front sway bar off. Heres why, http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/...nt_Swaybar.htm
personally I wouldnt risk it, or even consider it ever.

YES! YOU WILL BE FINE!
Ive never had any of my swaybars on, and taken it well past 75mph....although, I would never go that fast and try to do anything a car can do. Youve got to reduce speed as necessary, when taking corners, it will lean more, but nothing crazy. I took mine off, because Im usually offroading 3-4 times a week, sometimes more, to where even "disco's" would become a pain in the ***.

A quote of mine from an earlier thread:

you can take it off yes, you will be happier with it on. the stock links will work for a 3" lift. just a little bushing bind but nothing major.

Yes he may be fine and nothing happens until the day he need to change lanes hard or something. I mean you dont gain but a little flex from it. I would just spend the little money it takes to buy some disconnects and be safe rather than save that little bit of money and find urself upside down in a ditch. I mean is the chance of flipping your jeep and maybe killing urself or someone else really worth that little flex or that little bit of money disconnects cost?
I have no rear but do run my front. I have disconnects and just take them out when off road and put them back when Im done. It is not that hard or expensive to do.

^^x2

there is a cheap solution that is nearly free too. take your stock links, cut off the threaded part to where about 1.5" is showing and then use a tap n dye set to thread the part of the links that are left and put a coupler on it. Then get a bolt and some washers and reuse your rubber isolators. Gain about 2 inches on the stock links and costs but like $10.

i think it is very irresponsible to leave off the front sway bar on the highway. think about all of the other people that can get hurt, because you THOUGHT you were doing fine there for a minute. would you feel comfortable having your baby in the XJ with no front sway bar on, going down the interstate?

Yeah, my bad ...I jumped the gun on this subject....and totally skipped the fact hes running stock suspension....which is soft.
So, I withdraw my first answer and say, No, do not run stock suspension, without sway bars.
RC lifts are known to be stiffer than stock, thats why/how Im able to ride with no sways. But I dont bomb around....I have a car for that.
I just cruise easy 99.9% of the time, there was only one time I had to fly down the highway once...for a reason.

No swaybar = possible death.Don't be dumb ,leave it connected on the road.Thats a very bad idea.Throw the rear away tough cuz you don't need it.

in my jeep. yes, i would.

the rubicon shocks make the jeep handle just as well as it did with the sway bars on.
