Well,I cut my hood a few months ago, installed some Lebaron hood vents. They work good keeping the temps down, been driving in rain and everything and had no problems.Went to put gas in yesterday, and had I women in the store come out and say, would you like a free car wash in a automatic car wash it was messing up and they were testing it,well,I said sure free wash.everything was fine till I got home, cranked up jeep to run to store and engine light came on,checked codes and it was TPS.spent 50.00 at parts store for new TPS,and had to grind off one of the screws, cause it seems it was the orginial and didnt want to come out.I dont think the car wash had anything to do with it,it was acting up some before I even cut for the hood vents,SORRY FOR THE LONG STORY,AND WRONG POST,JUST WANTED TO RUN IT PAST AND SEE WHAT OTHERS THOUGHT, THANKS

I've been having the same problem. Every time it rains hard or I go through the car wash my check engine light comes on (faulty TPS). I found out water was getting into the ECU connection. There's some slight rust on the face of the male end connector. I just wipe it off and cleaned it with electrical cleaner spray. I'm trying to find out how to seal the connection without it being permeant.

I think it's called an ECU. It's the computer on the driverside next to the air filter.

A thin coat of silicone goes a long way.
