If it was just my DD I'd go rough countrys 4.5" lift, t-case drop kit (drops the cross member 1"), procomp series 98 15x8 wheels 3.5" back spacing, 32x11.5x15 wangler MTRs!!!
That would be a SICK DD, but most all start out on road only! Lol

dam man, just for looks, shame. 4.5 and 31s deff no rubbin, good flex, 32s maybe depending on width on the rub factor, that is if your doin somethin with it. 3" roughcounty and 31s looks good too. i mean, i wouldnt go to0 high and big for the sake of gas, specially if your not gonna be usin it for what its for. ditto on the full pack learsprings deff. if your really lookin to burn money go with the rubicon express lift 4.5", or long arm kits in generaly, but itd kinda be a waste if your not gonna be takin it out on trails

i know it would be smarter to do 3 inch lift with 31's for the sake of gas but frankly it just doesnt look good enough for me so ill waste the money and go with the 4.5 and 32's

Talking Money to burn

If your not concerned about price just lookin for agressive look try Skyjacker lift kit. I don't know if you'll get driveline vibrations at 4.5 but look into a Slip Yoke Eliminator & driveshaft money to burn with a Jeep is a good thing they can be exspensive lifting.

At 4.5" you may also be looking at control arms, brake lines, transfer drop, SYE, trac bar, shocks... I'd think hard about that 3" and 31's you mentioned and skip all of the above.
Rusty's had a 3" BB kit with new shocks on sale last week for $200 shipped. Looks like it's $300 this week though.

true, once you get past 4 inches, alot more peripheral stuff comes into play. that stuff usually becoming expensive. but once again, if you have money to burn...just weigh the options

Opinion on tires? Don't get the Wrangler MTRs with Kevlar. If you want a good tire get BFG Mud Terrain KM2s, Maxxis Bighorns, or the classic Interco Super Swamper TSL

Here's a couple of decent choices.

http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Suspen...px?part=RE6130 - would need shocks with this one

http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchan...ode=sus_xj_kit - comes with basic shocks

No offense, but everything I've heard about them is that they suck. I have a buddy who has a set of 32s on his TJ and he regrets getting them. Really not that great of a tire. Maxxis Bighorns will give you a ton more for your money at about the same price point.
