And the injection nibs and ribs. Another thing that affects this is the first 32nd or two is a harder layer from getting the hottest longer during curing. Under this layer the compound is stickier.

I had a feeling man. It will happen every time you put on a new set too. It still gets me every time and I have always put on new tires. "OK is it going to straighten back out or am I going to have to steer into it?". Right away you feel an "understeer" too. lol

Yep that's what it feels like, there is a delay and then they grab, then coming out of the turn they do the same thing, there is a delay coming back straight again but they do eventually grab. Almost makes you want to steer into it like you are sliding sideways a bit. All normal, like I say you should feel what this is like in a big truck with 8 new drive tires and 1 inch tread rubber doing this. It is down right scary until you get used to it. lol

Oh yeah, they like to grab and follow ruts and lines for sure! They were designed when everyone only drove 45 miles an hour. Back when no one had a reason to be in a hurry. lol

Also these tires are on a 1953 buick roadmaster currently and needs to be changed badly. But then again the front end needs to be aligned because you take a turn and it feels like youre grinding the tires away lol
