But if you can recommend the iron man or hercules what would you suggest because these seem very awesome as i never even seen or heard of them till today. and would prefer white letters if possible lol.
iron man over Hercules all day in my opinion. And sadly they aren't offered with white letters.

it's not an exact clone, but I guess you could say they are close in design. I work at a tire shop too. Me and a few of the other guys keep our own reviews based off of customer comments. Any time a customer comes in for a rotation or something, we ask questions about the tires and log them Into our little system to keep track. We also get killer discounts on tires (doesnt seem like you do though haha) so we all get to try out tires pretty easily. Between the reviews and first hand use I would rate all terrains like this....bfg number 1, Cooper at3 number 2, and general grabber all terrain number 3..Those are the class of the all terrains, in tier one. Most others are in tier 2 where they are pretty good performers and priced pretty good, a few at tier 3 where you pay too much for what you get and the tires here get numerous complaints, and tier 4 is for the hot garbage. That's your Chinese **** that people buy online...since this thread was based off the wrangler radial, I will tell you they are in tier 3 haha

My Grabbers were right at 450. Hopefully your discount will bring them closer to your 300 mark

It's called "improper fitment" based on OEM standards or options. In this world of judges who award any and every frivolous liability suit and Insurance companies are what influence these policies. A "Release of liability" in writing and signed by the customer solves this but... We also live in a world of extremism, and big companies just make a stiff "one size fit's all" policy like this to satisfy the insurance companies. A frivolous society and ignorant judges have caused these things.

Sad yes but it happened and now the funs taken away. I cant even work on my own car i have to wait for a day off to do it there since people are frauds and bought extremely cheap tires then swapped them with the best tires we had in stock. So now we have that rule and if youre caught working on your own vehicle then its instant termination. But the rules are there to cover your *** as well. Sad still whats even sadder the new house im moving to some douch stole the spotlights i put in. and this is a "good neighborhood" Florida sucks lol. But yes it does suck each walmart is different in said rules. We have this stuff called torque seal to prevent tampering as it puts a blue seal on the plug because a popular thing was people overtightened the plugs and then went down a bumpy road to get it to knock out then proceeded to drive and blew the engine then make walmart pay for a new engine and resulting in the employee who worked on it being fired. Happened 2 times where i worked.
It's not actually illegal, they lie about this because they want to put the blame of their own decisions onto the legal system because they know they are being chicken sh** about it and you might not buy anything at all if you knew it was their own personal decision and policy. A signed release of liability is a compromise that would make both sides happy. But they are too damned lazy to do this. All they have to do is add the language to the work order/receipt and have the customer sign it as he pays for the work being done.

I am not a fan of Goodyear. I have ran all kinds of tires over the years on Jeeps. "CJs". I actually have a set of Goodyear Authority that I puled off of my last CJ to run BFGs. I put the Goodyears on my XJ last week. I am probably going to pull them off this week. They look good, but I have learned that the side walls are not great on real rocky trails. They also wear bad. I can tell how bad on my XJ more than when they were on the CJ. We plan on running this on the trails, but also a weekend run around rig, so I want it to ride good on the street.
I am probably going to buy a set of Pro Comp AT Sports this week. I have ran them in the past and had great luck. I think they ride better on the street than the BFG and they have always worked great for me on the trail.
The thing that sucks is that my two rear Goodyears are almost new.

I agree. I ordered another set of Pro Comps this morning. I will keep one of the new Goodyear for a spare.

Lol its kinda hard finding a tire that has good treadlife and a good price thats why i like the bf goodrich so much reviews back them up but for the price it kinda hurts but i dont mind alternatives if it surprises me. If i remember wasnt there an older thread on tires here? i couldnt find it but then again i think it was back in 2011 and tires changed alot now.

I mean, not really. There are tons of tires out there that last a long time and are very cheap. But their performance sucks, their only saving grace is their tread life. Those cheap wrangler radial last forever, but like I said they do not perform well at all.

hell, most all terrains last close to 50k miles or more. Don't be stuck on all the "big brands". Khumo, falken, iron man, MasterCraft and more make a pretty good all terrain at reasonable prices.

eevee, i think you need to be honest with yourself about use of those tires, first. how often would you use an at tire? are you going to keep this xj for another 5 years? if you don’t have the money...why are you trying to put tires you’ll never use on an xj you won’t keep?

eh, regardless, I think an all terrain is the best choice. Better then your typical highway type tread. You never know when you will get the urge to do a bit of offroading. Plus they last nearly as long and there are many afforsdbale all terrains that i listed in an earlier post on this thread.
