Important however, is that when they state let's say "4 ply" that is just a rating that corresponds back historically to the old days of nylon bias ply tires. New radial tires actually have less but when they started making radial tires they had to display a comparison to what they were replacing. They say "4 ply rated" and should actually have said "replaces 4 ply bias" to have been accurate.

And as a wholesaler/retailer I have been screwed by Michelin's arrogance the worst of them all and have had an on going personal feud with them for many years now. They are selling an overpriced inferior product and continue to play the consumers. It all started years ago when I would make their tires good under legitimate warranty claims then Michelin would make the arrogant claim "We don't make a bad tire, It is your fault or the customer's fault the tire went bad."
Then they would screw me out of the credit I had coming towards the cost of the tire I had restocked. This happened three times and then I was done with them. They were making me replace tires under THEIR warranty out of MY pocket as the retail dealer. I kept the National Account status and stocked just the bare minimum of two commercial steer tires and two drive tires just so that I could make a bit off the road service to go out and put them on.
I never stocked or sold another Michelin non-commercial tire again after that, but I took off a LOT that had failed when they should not have. I was not going to abuse my own customers by selling them overpriced crap, Especially for a company who's arrogance was beyond all reasonable fair business practices.

Wow now that it was mentioned every michelain (don't flame me for spelling it wrong) tons of then came in today and alot of the stuff about them were right 1 to 2 year old tires had plenty of tread but very cracked and then a few came in with broken belts and others with shifted belts where the wires were poking from the tire and a major crack I was pretty sure gonna die if it exploded lol

Actually they never were any good. The public fooled themselves into believing this just because Michelin was the first to sell steel belted radials in this country. I went through the whole industry change over from Bias tires to Radial tires. While everyone else has improved the reliability and technology of steel belted tires unfortunately Michelin has decided to produce the very same inferior tire they have since the beginning. In fact they have made their sidewalls even thinner and weaker than they were back then and this was and still the major flaw, especially if you ever plan to go off road.

Genuine quote
" I don't know why everyone told me to get an oil change the car is brand new and the oil should be new, This seems to be a waste of money." and then pulled this beauty out of it and yeah that's the oil filter. Car was a 2016 kia sedona 67k miles past the oil change later......

now this is a totally different animal and I get that... but I'm also a very long time biker as well. Some of my biker buddies do run the Mich. II and III Pilots on their bikes with a lot of successful and hassle free miles.
Me... I'm a Harley / Cruiser style guy when it comes to bikes... well minus a few vintage bikes along the way... so I've never used them personally.
So on bikes YES... cars/trucks/Jeeps... not a great track record.
