Yeah. I'm not going to make and definate decisions until I can get some quotes back. I'll try to do another update with more pics tomorrow.

definitely take it into a small time body shop and get a quote. they'll know best

Well if you are really worried about the paint in the hood you could always try and find a nice hood in color

Great website to find parts for cars
just looking at the pictures I would do the high speed buff before I started to sand it down.

i say throw on some rust oleam. i have spray painted several cars and if you take your time sand and preping you can make it last longer and look better then a maaco paint job

I have the same problem. Littler specks though. But I think I'm going to sand it all and use Perfect Match Spray paint to do the job. It goes down clean and holds up.

Well there's no maaco around here. I also don't have anywhere to do the job that wont be exposed to the elements.

Do you have any pictures, or "how to's" on this process?

Here is a good write up. i know it's a right up for an entire vehicle but just lower all the stuff to just the hood if that's what your doing.
