Default Painted Diff Covers?

I was thinking about painting my diff covers when I change the fluid soon.
Has anyone on here painted them? If so, what color? Feel free to post pics, I need some ideas!

NICE! How much do those covers go for? Also I saw that your XJ is a 92. I thought the Chryco 8.25 wasn't in the XJs until 96?

The rear was swapped in 2 year ago.

Prices vary across the web. I bought my front directly from Riddler. You can good deals if you're patient.

It was a tedious job - the red parts are all hand painted.

I've painted Many stock diff covers all colors very easy just make sure it's very clean b4 primer and paint. I've also painted my rear SOLID diff cover a bit.

I painted mine with dirt, grease, and years of neglect.

Not the cover, but painted the guard to match the body color. The axle's getting dropped soon to regear, add a locker, sand, and repaint it.

On a side note I bought a Chry 8.25 from the guys at Solid and it happened to be the one they used to test fit their diff covers.

Yes..... but they offer zero protection... even for a street vehicle.

Yeah, but whats the point? The only thing that will see the gears rotating when you're driving is the road kill on the street, and once a diff blows apart they all become see through covers.
