Also, quick question.. Do I tape anything off? Or should I just hang them up and paint them? What's the best way to do this without damaging anything?

And Crawlin, do you have any pics of them painted?

If you haven't put them in yet, hang them and paint. Easiest way and cleanest. Paint won't hurt them don't worry. Tape off what you plan to paint from what you don't.

Yeah, they're off still. So just hang up and paint? Sweet. Was worried I'd have to tape off the gap where it extends or something. I'll probably start it tomorrow and finish up before the weekend, hopefully.

They're on my current shocks. I planned on using those, since they seem to have some slack on them. Do they need to be on when I paint them?

I'd probly not paint the shaft if I was you
That part that actually absorbed into the shock
Boot covers make no difference though.
Personally I cut mine off because they rust less fast and get less crap in them with out them.

I'm just painting the white tube and the white part at the top so it matches.
