Get a Jeep thats been totaled or the engine is shot, you can get the whole jeep then for $500 or less. All youll need is the T case, front axle, and i dont know about the drive shafts. The 2wd transmission is longet than the 4x4 one so i dont quite know if the shafts from a 4x4 will be to short or long

That's correct...longer springs than stock = lift...doesn't have to be a store bought kit to be considered a "lift kit". Its waaaay cheaper to use jy springs and build a leaf pack from a Dakota or S-10.

Off the top of my head I don't. On the thread that was listed above it says which parts = how much lift. I would say some stout front springs, a Dakota bastard pack and maybe a zj Pitman arm would get you a decent set up to start out with

Nothing major,up front maybe longer swaybar links, shocks, adjustable track bar or you can do the old drill a new hole method. In the rear new spring wraps, centering pins, and longer u bolts.
