I am sure there is another thread like this, and in my efforts of searching however I was unable to find it... however, I am looking for ideas on a roof rack. I have done a lot of shopping, and am not afraid of spending money... but I haven't found... "the one" yet....

I sorta like the GOBI Tire rack.... but its not 100% perfect. I am looking for something I can purchase, not fab.... and that has a unique look, yet is finctional....

If you have a production roof-rack, please post a picture.... and where you got it.... I am hoping it will help find whatever it is I am looking for.....

Thank you in advance

Oh my god! Did you even use the search button! So annoying...

Just kidding! umm I have a surco safari roof rack, it's not like you usually see going all the way down the jeep. Here's a pic (sorry best one I have as of now)

All I kept finding was threads on people fabricating their own.... everywhere.... which is great, don't get me wrong, but not something I can do. So hence why I buy of the rack.... no punn intended... LMAO

No worries bud.... its just frustrating sometimes... LOL... I do like that rack.... would almost prefer one that mounts to the gutter opposed to the roof rails though.... seems like it would be stronger? not sure...

if you get your hands dirty it will be cheaper.. ive been eyeballing the "4x4Dalton no-weld diy roof rack" for a while and i'm pretty sure that the route i'm gonna go. light weight, cheaper and can be done in a few hours with the right stuff. and 100% customizable to however you see fit and what your mind can come up with.

I did see that before, and the thought has been considered.... still on the fence though.... looking for every option...

Anyone one else have pics or ideas for a NON-fabbed roof rack? Perhaps one that mounts via the gutters instead of the cross rails?

Thats really cool, and the price is awesome... did you get the "back window roof top 24" extension"? I assume that makes it full length? Does the quality seem durable to you, or like I wouldn't put a whole lot of weight in it?

I guess what I was getting at, is can it hold the weight of a 35" tire along with some camping gear and supplies safely?
